Yeah it does resemble a go-kart. I do like the idea of having a go-kart mod and I'm sure you'll improve the model to make it closer to real life.
Keep us posted!

Wooooooohoooooooooooo. U know u have to develop special tracks for this mod hey. Dont know if indoor tracks is posible in F1C. But that would be cool with a bridge and all and 3 layers tracks.

Hi,

We do plan to incorporate proper kart tracks into the mod. Please do remember the model is in very early stages so don't judge it too quickly on what you see present.

If anyone is wondering, this is not the 'x' mod that I was talking about in the other thread. That mod is more developed then this one, perhaps some news soon but cant promise anything

Ed

Hi guys,

I certainly support your idea to do a karting mod, and since I have a kart myself and drive national (and soon international) races, maybe I could give you guys some good advice, test things and supply pics of karts and tracks...it's just an idea but maybe you guys could use some help....

Wondered when someone else was going to try to do something with the idea. Would you be doing real go kart tracks or fantasy yet realistic looking kart tracks. Shouldn't be too hard to create a lot of kart tracks, fantasy style anyway. Could be the a simulation version of mario kart going on here, could be fun, 1st person view especially.

OMFG... that's no go-kart, that's a monster!

For the tracks, i think indoor tracks should be quite "do-able", and as for using real layouts.. well i have a few maps of real tracks from around the world (and many photos of the local ones).. So i'm sure we'll end up with a plethora of international go-kart tracks (you may have driven on a few yourself!).

Of course, the sky's the limit atm, and reality will probably kick in later. But, there's nothing stopping you from making your local kart track to be used in the mod (IMO the most ideal solution so we can get them as correct as possible).

That.. and maybe we could have a few classes of karts for you, in time... Anything from your standard 125cc hire kart (maybe the faster hire karts ), up to a full blown superkart (speedtastic!).

That's a cool track.

We'll get on to you about it in a bit, first we need to get the karts working on any old track, and that means some hardcore physicsing (it should be possible). I'll get into that over the next couple of days then we'll see where to go from there

Wow! A Kart mod! Great idea! I can't wait...

Check out that monster kart that cannibal smurf posted. Watch the movie. It's hillarious.

This'll be great fun to play. I'm excited!

I actually prefer the look of a gokart without the shell on it, just you, the engine, tires and some bars to hold everything off the ground, hehe

I like the idea. Are you just going to use 2-Stroke Karts, or are you using 4-strokes aswell? It'll be great to see some Biland SA250's, Ecomoto's and other karts like mine (A Honda GX620 V-Twin).
