Trading Pools
edited: All racers willing to trade pool (and all willing to help if the exact day of race is not important), please use the thread QE2 - Trading Pools.
Trying to organize all this in a truly global scale is not exactly easy, and we hope this experience will make us learn important things.
This is the unofficial season, and hopefully will be decisive to get better in future competitions.
Schedules are probably the hardest part to get right, so it is impossible to please all.
Let's try to see if we can please the maximum number of ppl.
We create here this thread for all the ppl who can’t drive in their pools.
Pools were created having in mind several aspects, but there are always problems of schedule. To see if we can improve this points, we will make a little experience here.
We have as rule these points:
Racers in the 80 selected write their name, pool where they are placed, and Position in Pool.
Example:
Racer X, pool 2, pos. 6
I cannot race in this pool. I prefer to race in pool 5, 6, 7 or 8
If a racer reading the thread is willing to trade place, he also post in the thread.
If there’s an agreement, the trade is made. BUT, we only allow racers to trade places with a racer in the same Position in Pools.
(it’s the only way to keep the pools balanced)
Meaning a racer in Pos. 6 only can trade with a racer also in position 6 in his pool.
(edited: maybe this rule may be a litle more flexible example: if necessary, racer in pos 6, can trade with ppl from position 5, 6 or 7)
Let’s see if this little scheme works.

Hi!
Well, i'm the first.
Hummer - pool 2 - pos. 2
I can't race in this pool, because there is Hungarian league race at the same time. I prefer to race in pool 3-4-5-6-7-8
Thanks,
Hummer

[GURU]XPsionic, Pool 2, Pos6.
Anything from 3-8 would work.

Racer "PM Bullet", pool 3, pos. 4
I cannot race in this pool. I can only race in pools 5 - 8.
I had a little conversation with "Biertrinker" who is fifth in pool 7 and can't race there either. We both would like to change but there is this position difference...

Hmmm. just want to say that pools are not fairly put together.
I race angainst oSIRis which btw had the best time of all (i think) and i had like 5 sec slower time...
This kind of assemblig pools suck!
And i mean well when i say that. It's not fair to race a guy who is 5 sec/lap faster, not to mention that it's no fun at all!
So think something in that way. Put together racers who have similar best lap times.
just a suggestion.
PS: Where can i see all 80 racer's lap times?

As it was said already here in this forum the rules are clear.
The goal is to choose the best 5 of each Pool. Or else it was not possible to get the best 20. Btw, the best time was made by Lefty.
The pools were made folowing many other competitions (uefa, etc), and you can see a very close image in a pic made by MagicFr in the calendar thread, here in forum.

thx
i hear you guys, and i obey.
nice to see things workings this way.
i also have bad news to the guys in pool 2. i tried to change the schedule, but it appears many ppl prefer the sunday 16, at 20.30cet.
meanwhile, maybe some of the racers in other pools can make the individual trade between pools.
lets wait and think positive. still some days to go.
btw, maybe if i delay the pool 2 one hour is better? starting at 21.30 cet?

as i said previously, this Pool 2 is the only one giving us problems.
i mailed the racers in Pool 2 and some already answered. some ppl cant race in the alternative schedule monday unfortunatelly, so the trade can't be made.
atm, we are thinking in delaying Pool 2 to 21.20 cet.
any objections here?
this delay should allow at least one of the racers to join.

Hi,
why not put Pool2 to some other day? I was mailed wether i would like to trade pools to Monday, 23.00, so:
Pfahrer, Pool 2, Pos 3, would trade to Monday / Tuesday / Wednesday

well, i mailed all racers in Pool 2, but the reactions are mixed.
some can, some cant.
so, atm the solutons seems to be delaying one hour Pool 2 to please the maximum number of ppl.
(edited again: just got one mail of one of the ppl not able to race Sunday at 20.30 cet, and he will be present. i hope the second racer also manages to get time to race)
but no ideal solutions
fortunatelly in other pools all is almost right.

Well now I'm in pool 2 of the second event and once again I can't race on monday.
So I think my only chance is to change pools with [SCR] Chaz, ACR RudiTurbo, jug, Sinbad, Pallukka or Osiris.
But that leads me to another question: When will the final league races take place? I also drive in the EPS-League and two other GPL-leagues, so that is probably gonna be a tight schedule for me if I should make it to the last 20...

Due to the non european racers, the races will be probably saturday evenings in europe.
