[stc] Villa Alpina
keywords: Village, mountain, lmap objects, drawing, disi, dario
Hi all, I'm happy to present you Villa Alpina, a track made with lmap objects. I actually started this as a road track, but after 3-4 buildings I decided to make it as a city. I think that best details are the well and the gate with 1800-ish feeling. As you can see the track is full-screen (1st time that I do it) but I think that works very good on theese kind of tracks (with lmap buildings) because you won't see an object cut by a concrete wall :P Maybe scenery can seem a bit repetitive because all buildings have white-snow-ice walls but I thought it was better to keep all buildings of simiar color in this track. In this track I think I finally made a good AI line (not as older ones) due to fact that track has a simple layout. *Waits for Speedshift's track to see who's better with lmap objects * (I think speedshift it's still better ) Enjoy your races! P.S. First time that I can write more than 3 rows while posting a track

Simply outstanding lmap there! Really nice and colorful, give the feeling as if you really are in an European town/city.
Layout of the track is good fun, too. Hopefully we will see a new trend with lmap object tracks...

Usually I don't like lmap buildings but these houses are very nice, I specially love the gate (which is IMO more 1400-ish than 1800-ish) and those things hanging from lights. Layout is excellent but IMHO it's not so fun to drive because there isn't hmap. But it's ok because it's a street track and hmap would probably ruin the lmap buildings.

OMG!I didn't imagine that the house lmap you've posted in the "Track previews an ideas" thread will be this big, and the track itself will be this small! By the way the prespective of some houses(ecspecially at the bottom) is wrong but they look great and they still have the illusion. I only think that the left bottom of the track could be improved. Perhaps a gate would look good there! And some citizens could stand by the houses or in front of them. But overall I think this track is great! The lmap is fantastic! Never ever seen someone who used so much color(the rest of the trackmakers don't use that much red, wonder why)! And you did not use red only for the roofs! If we look carefully we can find flowers in the windows(which idea I like soooo much) and canvas between the lights next to the last curve! My favorite buildings are the houses at the top: the one is in front of the pitline, the castle-like building in the center and that building in the right which looks like a candyshop!
I've tested the track with gokarts, then rallycars! The track is perfect for kart races I think and I agree. The Ai is great too! I smell some ToM here! Great work! Keep it up! 5/5

Oh my gosh! RED? In a GeneRally track?
Well, I find this circuit absolutely visually astounding, and very creative. Without a doubt, I can say it's one of the best tracks I've ever seen, especially from you! I can understand why the perspective of some buildings are wrong, but I really can't argue and say that's so horrible. The fact that you attempted this is wonderful. Now before everyone gets so cheery, I have to pull the curtain down a little bit. We have a problem. The AI tends to hit the wall (more often than not) on the corner near the pits. It's a brilliant way to end a race in tears. The AI is pretty quick, but I feel you could just have pushed it that little bit faster, but that is my opinion, it's quick enough for a good solid race. It's also a pretty samey layout to what we've seen before on other small tracks (not really much choice there though), and it would have been nice to add some HMap, but that doesn't stop this track for being fun racing! If everyone focuses more on the racing, you will see how much better this track is. If I get my lazy computer to work by the end of the month, this is going for a vote on ToM Brilliant work.

I was expecting Markus's releases (Geneburg and others) but not this one... Once again an excellent work from you, everything is great (the lmap-buildings, full-screen, the road, the castle-gate, the details) so thank you DiSi! and keep it on !!
