People are always asking for setups, so I've compiled a listing of some of the many websites. Hopefully you can find the setup you are looking for from among these sites. Most of these sites also have replays available for download.
I know there are lots more, so if you have a webpage where people can download your setups, please add a post with the url and a description of the type of setups available. If a link changes, or if any of the info I have here is wrong, please PM me and I'll edit this post to correct it.

I'm sorry that I missed including your page Feiner. I knew I'd forget some, but forgetting one of the most recommended setup gurus is terrible! I've added it to the top post.
I checked out your site and it is too cool for words. Very slick! I love the look and feel of it.

Excellent idea Alan
My 2 bobs worth:
Ivan Bertoloni's Lotus setups are very good if you cant drive the wobbly skiddy ones (like me): http://gplrecord.m4driving.sm/
And here are some alien setups from a guy called Niko http://www.kolumbus.fi/niko.koskela/gpl.html
And Chris Moses 25t setups got me to -20, they are mainly 85/30s and as his site has gone, here they are Attachment: 25t.zip (33897 bytes, 280 views)

I've tried to download several diferent setups but can't get the game to recognize the setups.
I download, unzipp, then drag each track set up to it's folder, but when I go to the track in the game the new set up isn't there. Am I missing something?
gpl/players/playername/setups/appropiate track folder. Is this correct?
thanks

The path is correct. Only the setups for the car that your driving will show up. Are you in F1 mode? F2,F3 won't show F1 setups.
good luck

I'm in pro short mode. That's F1 I believe. But I downloaded Ferrari, Honda, and switched cars for each set up, however it wasn't there when I got to the track
thanks Wayne

Did you check the particular track folder to make sure that the files are really in there and are called whatever.fe1, whatever.mu1?

pro/intermediate etc only determine race length, not car type, above this option you see 3 types of cars, trainer, advanced and grand prix, make sure it's the grand prix one

the only section of my game that lists the different cars is training. All the race menus only have the race length option. Also the files are in the folder. for some reason the game isn't reading them
any suggestions?
thanks

Here's mine. These are mainly lotus setups with some ferrari and cooper ones as well, I use a 20/85 or 30/85 diff at most tracks so these setups aren't for everyone. Btw this file includes every setup I've ever downloaded as I was too lazy to manually put my setups in their own folder. If you're copying the whole setup folder over yours click no whenever windows asks if you want to replace a file you already have as I've slighlty edited a lot of the setups I've d/loaded as well.

Wayne,
hhmmm weird,
got this thing once when I unzipped sets to my directory.
I haven't noticed that the path to the track directory was included in the zip so the setup was not where i expected it to be.
It looks like this:
gpl/players/playername/setups/appropiate track folder/appropiate track folder/setup.xyz

it would be great if there was different packs of setups.
one for original tracks, one for challenge and so on.
its a jungle out there to find a perticular track setup

alan,
thank you for this links, great having them together.
Dave Wilkinson,
big thanks for that Moses setups, was looking for them. They are great to drive for an average driver like me.

Hi alan_owens, grate information!
I now use the second version of Greger Huttu's setups the so called GH2 with 30/85, 45/85, 30/60 and 45/60 etc. differential rate and 1 to 3 locks. They fit perfectly to my style and I find them very easy to drive.
Question:
Since some tracks and cars are missing from Greger's setups collection (for example Ferrari at US Riverside GP) do you know someboby offering setups with similar differential rates?
Thanks for your help
Cheers

Hi Gass,
The best Ferrari driver is Jonathon Davis and I believe his setups use 30/85, 45/85 diffs, but I haven't tried them myself. Paul Jackson also uses these diffs and I know his setups are great. For Riverside, go to Paul's ChallengeRank page.
I'm not sure about many of the others, but PJ and JD have most of the tracks covered.
Salute
Alan
