The Next WC-Season....

A little brainstorm.....
I will proberly make it more like the icehockey WC, this means Classes/Divisions to get more equal Races between even more teams. Not much fun in having Portugal1(or Denmark1 ) racing against Sweden1 for either of the teams. Also this will proberly shorten the length of each round and the championship making it easy for me as admin to keep focus on the championship.

I would like 1 or 2 English speaking Peoples to write some news on the teams, races, fun in the news section, as my english sucks big time.

We again needs judges, at least 2-3 people.

We also needs the TC's again, it worked great IMHO.

Some rules concerning Warp laps and so on will be Injected into the rules...

this is all from now...

I'm happy to get involved again, but this time, I'd like to not be a team captain, but just a driver. I'd be more than willing to do some adminning though for the event, and judging if you need.

Paul.
Consider yourself Judge for the next season.

Malc, would you be interrested in judging again, you did a SupeB job last season ?

I'd be happy to ;-)

It's be nice to see more play-offs for the losing teams next season, there were long periods of inactivity between races before that could have been used for other races.

Why don't you guys just fix the dates then. In other world cups they don't plan the games themselves. Gives it a extra twist.

So if australia would play england then the date and time of the race would be a sunday at 9 am BST or something?

It's a good idea but considering the difficulties some teams had finding a date I'm not convinced it would worth it.

What start date do you have in mind for WC2 Nino?

What exactly do you mean here Nino?

My vote goes for spec races, and maybe more than 2 races. So a different car for each race We'll then get very close racing - it'll be so much fun

Oh yeah - a vital change in the rules to not reward the other team for DNF. It produces unrealistic results. Points for position, similar to current F1 would be fair.

Fixed dates are not a good idea.

Hi chaps

I'm making the GPLE calendar for the 2nd season and like i think we're going to involve again in GPLWC... like someone wrotes above... Nino, do you have any idea of when will start?, like last year or later?...

I'll enable enough room in the calendar to allow my teammies to prepare it; we've improved a lot this year

Cya!

Does Canada have a WC team? If yes, I'd like to be part of it, I'm currently 11th in the country with a -42.5 rank, and a really bad Ring time.

Well, if WC goes on as planned, I'd like to 'reserve a spot'... If everything goes according to plan, Croatia should have national team within a week or two.

Yeah, may be. After all, Sweden won this year and should therefore perhaps be next year's host.

Right now many of us are finishing of Spot Cup, so beginning of next year, perhaps.

Unless any other picks up the challenge, of course.

That's a good idea ;-)

When does your current championship finish?

Let's see how much interest we can generate over the next month, and if there are enough teams to justify running the WC again is there someone who could set up a registration/results website? Nino?

I'll start a thread on the main site suggesting teams register their interest here for now.

Can't find any discussion forum at Nino's site. However, a mail to all captains of the current season is of course an idea.

If I do anything in this matter, it will be with a big hand from friends and we will set up a web server of our own. I guess the rules are good enough for another round, so there is no need for change there.

That's not an issue I've come across before. imo as long as it's available to all I don't think it should be considered cheating, but you're right, it would need to be mentioned either way I guess.

Can you suggest an example rule from a league we could adapt?

i think the most easy thing is to say that all adjustments within gpl's setup range is ok but not out over this

but be aware that some alien setups uses bump rudder lower than gpl (many of huttu's)

stiffer wheel rate on BRM

long 1 and 2gear on the brab and lotus setups at especialy kya and spa

and belive me it is a diffrence: i tok the brab down 0,3 sec just by testing a setup with these gears at kya

Is there is any easy way to check the conformance to such a rule?

GPLRA may check for engine swaps but no other tricks, as far as I know.
