Setups

Some people were interested in checking out my setups a few days back. Ive been able to upload them now. Theyre not as organised as Greger's, ive not made different setups for qualifying and racing, and given you the times and amount of fuel for races and all that stuff, so youre going to have to use your brain a little when converting them. In changing a brabham setup from qualifying to race spec i would usually make the differential a little easier, say, from 60/60 2 to 60/45 2, or 45/85 1 to 60/60 2, change the gearing a little, maybe soften the rear springs...all that kinda stuff. There are not too many setups overall, only a couple of honda setups in there and no brm, this is mainly because i rarely drive the brm or honda, and if i did (god forbid) i would use someone elses setups...same applies to any other chassis/track combos without a setup...i probably would have used either an Andy Wilke, Greger Huttu or Jonathan Davis setup although i honestly can't remember. If you find the diffs a bit tricky, try using 60/60 1 or 60/45 1...those were the diffs i used when switching from 85/45.

The setups should be available from here, along with a few replays, some old track cam files i made a couple of years ago, which haven't seen the light of day for time, and some other nonsense:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ukgpl/files/Bartys/

If anyone wants to put them on their site, please feel free etc etc

Lots of Love, B

Link doesn't work. It look slike it's missing some parts.

I can give you a page at addicts if you wish. I had kind of already planned on it. I'll even see if Paul will make a cool logo for it like he did ours.

You mean I might actually have to do some thinking? That's too much like work!

Steve and I have Mirrored them here

If you click in the Button called "Barty's Replays" it'll take you to his page. Replays and setups are there.

Kind of. I had asked him about them a couple of times. He didn't seem to crazy about replays. He wanted it more for the setups. I just don't feel right bugging him about it so I haven't.

I've also written a PM to Barty offering to let him submit new replays and setups any time he'd like for his new page at our site.

thank you

when we're talking setups, I've lost Greger's setups, and the only address i've been able to find goes to a 404 at Netikka (finnish ISP?)
does anyone have a better link or maybe can mail me Greger's setups?

Just wanted to say thanks for a great set of setups Barty . Had an Int. Long League race at Monza last night, and comfortably ran in the 1:28s all race with the Eagle setup, which was enough for the win . I've never comfortably run 28s, let alone consistently, in anything before! Fantastic

Thats a shame I asked him for a replay at a track where I didn't understand his gearing, he replyed that he would soon have his own replay page. Kinda serves me right for being so bad at setups.

Cheers Barty.

Yeah, I was a little disappointed too but I understand. He said he usually forgets to save a replay and it's a hassle sometimes. I've forgotten myself a few times so I certainly understand that. I may change the page to take away references to replays at some point so we don't mislead people. We can always change it back later if he has a change of heart.
