New Australian Mod Team

BD Ford (respected Australian Modder from Nascar 2003) and I would like to invite all modders interested in Australian Racing to a new mod team. The aim of the new mod team is to create scratch built, quality Australian Mods to advance forward the Australian rFactor community to new heights never seen before

The area's in which the mod team would like to cover include ATCC and Early V8 Supercar years anywhere from 1985-1999, aswell as present day V8 Supercar support categories including tin tops and open wheelers to target the Australian League Racing community and provide close fun racing with a range of different cars to choose from.

Outlined below are the roles/positions needed for the team to get off the ground. It is preferred that modders are Australian or NZ to make sure there is a good knowledge of what we are modding and to keep motivation up, but we will take on all modders. I have put down everything we are looking for, hoping they will be filled, but the main thing is to make sure that everybody knows what we need incase you have that skill. Come on modders if you have got one of the below skills lets make a mod team that will be remembered.

3d Modelers

There are limited positions available for 3d modelers. Currently BD Ford and myself will be the modelers in the team but one or two more modelers would be ideal to create our mods faster. It is preffered that the modeler uses Box Modeling and 3ds max applications, but it is not a must. Also it is also preffered that the modelers are familiar with Gmotor materials and rFactor file formats

Physics

There is an open position for one or possibly two people to work on physics. All physics people must be familiar with the rFactor physics engine and how to edit it. They must have done physics for rFactor before and be able to provide a sample of their work if neccasary

Skinners

There are open positions for up to 5 skinners at the early stages. Skinners must have some of their work to show, of cars they have copied, not custom skins. All skinners are to send pictures of the car they copied and then their skin to the e-mail at the bottom of the post. Texture knowledge, template setup and previous work on mods would be preffered and help to get you into the team.

File Setup/Beta's

There is currently a position open for someone to manage ingame file setup and Beta's. This job would involve ingame file setup, including .gens, LODs, .ini files, .veh etc aswell as making sure that our file hosting is run smoothly and everything is in the right place

Sounds

A sound man to either create scratch sounds or edit sound of other mods with permission would be ideal. We are not fussed about nationality at all as far as sounds go, just as long as the sound guy is prepared and motivated to re-create the sounds of these beautiful V8 beasts and their counterparts

Webmaster

We currently do not have a forum or any hosting systems. We are looking for somebody to manage or provide webspace in which we could have our own forum for members only, to allow for good communication throughout the team. The webmaster would be required to moderate the forums and just make sure everything runs smoothly including with file hosting.

If you have one of the above skills, and would like to join a new mod team which is eager to make Australian mods of the highest quality please contact Kyle on either via Windows Live Messenger or E-mail along with examples of your work and what you do.

A new era for the Australian rFactor community is about to begin, and this is your chance to be part of it

I got told to leave by Ausmodders about a week before the actual release date (under 2 days before intended release date)

basically i really wanna start up a good dedicated mod team who can do regular mods for Aussie league racing

Currently we have 4 members, so its not a stand-alone effort ESP, 4 is the same number as Ausmodders to my knowledge as Ausmodders has lost a couple of members

The webmaster position has been filled and we are very lucky to be getting our own Domain, server and forum once we have a final name for the team. We also will have our own website up soon for more information

Main position we need filled at the moment is Physics, at the moment we do not have any body able to do physics at the slightest, so we will need to find somebody

I think once we can show you guys some renders of our models and work we will find somebody

V8 by standalone I meant away from AUSMODDERS not by yourself...

Its hardly a by yourself MOD team if your advertising

Good luck champ
