[cir][rl] Auto Motodrom Brno

Well, finally here it is. This is like my never-ending-track, I started it more than 2 busy months ago. It's narrow again, so the AI line was done for Flying Solo's small F1 cars, as in my previous real-life circuits. This time it's not flat!
Enjoy!

Unbelievable, even if it's a tad narrow. But Flying_solo's F1s fits here perfectly.

5/5

Please don't misunderstand me... This track indeed is beautiful, but it is too large for me and way too narrow to race IMO.

Another track that could be used in GR MotoGP perhaps?

I really like this one, nice to see a good version of Brno.

BTW, which track are you planning to do next?

Yes, Flaming_Wuzzle for sure we are thinking about that. Dowloading now, testing as soon as possible but that's quiet sure (because that's JimmymetaL's work) we'll use it for GR MotoGP season 2. Isn't it LongBow ?

Great stuff! This is just what I have been waiting for

The track is quite narrow, but it doesn`t really matter to me since I`m racing on it with Moto GP bikes, however it could be a problem if racing with `larger` cars.
The AI line is quite good (tested with Moto GP bikes of course) which makes racing really fun. I haven`t tried Flying_solo`s F1 cars, but I guess it must be a lot of fun as well.
However, I still suggest using Moto GP bikes, they rock
This is definitely a track that could be used for GR Moto GP season 2.

@ Jimmy I sent you a PM

@ Raska With Jimmy blessing, of course

It looks beautiful, and the height map is awesome, but while it may be fine for MotoGP bikes (and if you made it with MotoGP in mind, then its great), but its entirely too narrow to drive most cars on. Just adding another pixel or two on either side of the track as padding can make a huge difference. As it is, its hard enough to just stay on the track with regular cars. Competative racing is out of the question. Its funny that just comparing Albecete and this track (21 pixels wide) to Valencia (23 pixels wide) there seems to be a notable difference in drivability.

(Of course, if you wanted to be realistic, Brno should be about 32 pixels wide. :P)

Oh and it looks like you could stand to zoom it in a little more too!

Thanks for the comments.

Nothing new about the width, I said that in the first comment. Maybe it's too narrow, I don't know, but using that F1 small car (or motogp bikes) it's ok, try it that way, I don't think it works well with larger cars. I'll try to draw my next tracks wider, but just 3 or 4 pixels (it's difficult to do a wide real life track in Generally, believe me).

Any suggestion about what track I could do next? I have no idea right now...

EDIT:
@Aeon: I had not read your comment but consider this previous text as a reply to you. I didn't know my Valencia was wider than this track. I promise the next one will be wider

Sometimes being drivable is more important than being realistic. Look at LWing's Interlagos! :P

You could try doing Doha or Le Mans or any 2005 MotoGP tracks that aren't fancied up yet (I assume they're using the 2005 schedule...)

Here's the 2005 MotoGP schedule as-far-as-I-know:
++Jerez
Jacarepagua
**Shanghai
LeMans
++Mugello
**Catalunya
**Assen
**Laguna Seca
++Donington
**Sachsenring
**Brno
**Motegi
**Sepang
Doha
++Phillip Island
**Estoril
**Valencia

** Tracks already have nice existing versions.
++ Tracks were done by me and it wouldn't hurt to redo them.
Anything else I'm not sure about. I think there's a nice version of Jacarepagua around but I don't know where to get it.

@ Aeon : Hey you're steeling my work You could also help us in making some tracks too. BTW Losail=Doha=Qatar GP

@ JimmymetaL : In fact, we surely would love to have a version by you of those tracks :

Mugello, Le Mans, Welkom, Doha, Donington and the newest Rio. I don't know about Laguna Seca and Shangai if we have an authorized version.

Aeon, could it be my Rio you're talking about? It was released over a year ago. If that's the one, you can go and download it at my page.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but no one has still released the present Rio de Janeiro. If you could do that next, I'd be happy

About the track: This must be the narrowest circuit I've ever driven on. If I can't drive a track properly even with a stock car like formula, I consider it legally undriveable. Sorry, but I won't be keeping this. It looks great though.

It looks lovely, but yeah.. Such a pity it's so damn narrow. I mean, if it was Brno you could stand on one side of the road wondering where the other side is. So it's not really a realistic recreation when it comes to width.

And I'd like to drive every single tarmac track with the standard Formula car, and when I can't, I won't ever drive on it again.
Ok, it's possible with hotlaps...

@ Jimmy I sent you a PM regarding your possible next track project

@ Raska I have permission to use Laguna Seca and Shangai, so you can expect them in GR Moto GP season 2

About Jacarepagua, I think the current version (-cbfs-) is quite good. The last change that was made to the track was in 1996 when it was reconfigured as an oval to host a round of the CART Indycar series. The other part of the layout is basicly the same for more that 10 years I think.

I started working on this track. I hope you all, narrow-tracks-haters , can see it's wide enough this time, 27 pixels.

Excellent, we needed a good Welkom

Hope it goes better than the one I've been working on (not really working, more like letting it sit there, hoping I will soon get the motivation to keep working on it)

...but anyway, good luck.
