2005 Toyota Prius v2.0 (Updated 22-Dec-2005)

Man, I've worked my ass off these couple of days to release this one. I was so anxious to release it now, cause Monday I'll go on a 2 week holiday.

A BIG Thankyou to :

- LB who made the shader, also improved my textures and made all the exterior colours.
- BMWspain who made the ini (the original was made by statultra, but spain changed most of it).
He also made the digital dash work in both views : inside & outside
- Statultra who helped me with real sounds recorded from his own Prius, also a good info & images provider

Thanks, guys!

First of all, I gotta tell you. The car is a little FPS hungry, I reduced some of the textures to improve FPS.
It comes with 7 exterior colours and 2 interiors. There are 4 zips, three for the main files, and one for the colours.
There is also one screenie for you to make an idea. Not some great one, though, never been good at it...

That being said, have fun!

7-08-2005: LOD Update!

22-12-2005: v2.0 Update!
-Fixed the shiny rims bug
-Fixed the windows transparency bug
-Fixed the brakelights (now it doesn't cut the reflections from the cover glass anymore)
-Better FPS (up to double, some textures cut to half without any noticeable results in quality, plus some more stuff unneeded in the ext view)

If you have problems with the archive, download the latest winzip from http://www.winzip.com or Windows users can download directly from here ftp://ftp.download.com/pub/win95/uti.../winzip100.exe

Very nice and good job!
Although, not the kind of car I would drive in Racer

I see, you didn't include the newest features like blurred wheels, but that's okay

Oh... one more thing... VERY NICE JOB

( lol, full install takes 80 mb - really, racer needs somekind of alternate color switching system )

Nice! Downloading now!

EDIT: I just tried it out at Carlswood and Speedest2, and I gotta say, the handling feels awesome! I also peaked 196km/h at Speedest2

Very nice release!

Thanks a lot, guys! I'm glad you like it and after so many threatning pm's (joking) I hope it was up to your expectations.

@LB - We shall meet again indeed! And then the mighty warrior said:
'En garde!'

Well if your cars is, as you said, a bit FPS hungry, wouldn't have hurt to throw in some LOD's for the people Blurred wheels could help on that one as well.
As for the rest, looks and feels great, tough I don't have a single clue on how it should feel
IMHO the skid sounds aer a tad low in volume and you should've used the mirror shader on the outside views as well, but that's just me being a prick

Great release guys!
The modeling, shader, textures, sounds, and INI are all really nice and enjoyable

Doesn't bother my computer much if you make LODs and blurry wheels, but I'm sure multiplayer & AI racing would be easier with them. I'd rather have the Ferrari, though

This is very good. I mean, driving this over the Nordschleife makes you fall asleep!!!! And that's how it should be..
The handling is very realistic and the model is great.
I actually hate this car in real life because it represents the elimination of real cars but I do like to drive it!!

this'll be a perfect cruser with a few minor tweaks.... woooo, especally the high detail interior.
I have done my own 'hybrid' cuz after my uncle stopped by that had a prius i became kinda fascinated by the technology in it, particularry the way the engine runs, or dosen't...... despite being slow, priuses are cool, it's pretty much solely a electric car with a gas generator underhood. Technology is cool. lol.
Does anyone know if there's a way to reduce road niose intensity inside? One thing i noticed about that car is how incredibly quiet it was inside..... it was kinda freaky. lol.

My setup was a bit diffrent for my 'prius' experements, i sacrificed irokers vectra as my test mule (sorry iroker. lol) redid the ebrake to be a electric motor and just use the autoclutch through the whole powerband, so if you take your foot off the gas the engine shut off, step on it and back on. The only problem with my setup as a had to seriously rework the way the throttly controller setup worked to get the e-brake and engine throttle to function correctly.
