This is done by changing the colour balance to a more reddish tone afterwards in a graphic-program. In-game it looks just like your version, it's not possible to change it in Racer yet, afaik.

Thanx, yeah i´m pretty happy with both the mesh and the textures so far. Only problem right now is the roof, notice how it looks "chopped", thats an error in the blueprint, so i will re-work it abit. It´s only 5000 polys :D

I think the smoke in Racer is multiplied overlay, so it enhances the underlying colour somewhat. Try a red sky, and smoke tends to look pink and bright pink at the edges. It doesn't mean the smoke IS pink...

Talking about that: is that normal that I get a better framerate in 32 bits than 16? When I make movies, I put the res at 640X480, and the 1st time I tried in 16 bits, then fps was like 5, and then I put in 32 and it gave up to like 30, with FSAA 4X in both cases.

Nick, I believe that Racer seems to run 32 bit better than 16 bit for some reason. Not sure exactly, but my old PC ran Racer better at 800x600 32 bit better than 800x600 16 bit.

Even in 1024x768, 32 bit was faster!

Maybe it's the adapter you use, drivers, or just some graphics conversion thing!?!?

Anyway, 32 bit is nicer than 16, and if you really can't run in 32 bit, you need a new PC by now!

no it's all fine, what I say is that I thought for a movie I could use 16 bit, but it killed the framerate. For playing I always use 1024X768X32. This is the highest I can take on my screen and that is compatible with Racer, and it seems to be the best.

I was pleasantly surprised to host a game in the UK through a 56k modem to Cullam3n overseas, and still manage to see his car moving what I would call acceptably well... OK, it juddered a little, but ALOT less than before, even on a network!

If we had been able to coordinate with in-sim texts, it would have been better, but the stability and quality already, without any "major" multiplayer work is amazing!

Big thanks to Ruud for what could be something REALLY great in the coming future.... even now racing M5's at the Ring is great :) Just need some real competition ;) :D

I've got more hours behind the wheel of that M5 at the Ring than anyone so I should do quite well... Would probably loose in another car though, I'm only good at driving my own ini's.... :rolleyes:

Wish we could have more than 2 cars though... a decent fast server hosting the Ring' and just play there if your online, rather than on your own host... that would be well fun, moving over for a Zonda or CLK dtm if we're talking finished cars :)

Made: I just thought about that color when I was in the restaurant, seeing a BMW 5 in some darkblue-greyish color and thinking about other colors, like the Techno Violet used on the E36 (I think it's that number) M5...
