hehe, we are just the opposite, I never race offline, actually, I bougth rfactor only to race online.

however, there is nothing stop the mod for being the most f1 mod played...online, so I need to blody stick to it....humm

f1rft08 question

I installed the f1rft08 mod the other day. I am having a problem with starting a race season. It says I need a vehicle: Indy. It will not like me create a season to race. I picked the indy car that came with this mod but it still does not work. Has anyone ran into this?

well that mod uses alot of illegally used/stolen parts so its a touchy subject to talk about around here so you won't get many answers. all I can say is go through all the usual files, plr, rfm, etc until you figure out why you can't get the car.

InterLagos problem

I am currently using the F1RFT mod, and when trying to load the interlagos track i get two error messages:

error loading texture for material materia2921
error loading global for material

Something around those two, whats my problem? how can I fix this?

I'm guessing you're using DX7 shader level. Unfortunately there's quite a few materials in this track which cause a problem in DX7, fixing them is relatively easy but will cause mismatches online.

There is a simple bodge (and it really is a bodge) which will get the track to load in DX7 but you'll lose the textures on your car and other textures around the track will look a bit odd. I can post it if you want it but frankly it won't look good at all.

Yes please, I like to join the elitenoobs.de servers and there is always 10-20 people in Brazil, and it is one of my favorite tracks

Ok. no problem, I too used to run dx7 for performance reasons and I guess I tended to forget the compromises in visuals I used to make. Actually giving it a run it doesn't look too bad, it's losing the textures on the car you're driving that's the biggest annoyance. Just extract the texture in the attachment to the 18_F1RFT_Brazil folder (where the 2 large MAS files are).

It works, thanks, its a great looking track.

And yes the only problem is that I was using Mclaren and the car is just white

F1RFT mod Question

I driving in f1rft mod and my an my friend encounter a problem.I said that there is diference betwean cars but we all use same phisics.Some of members agree with me some dont.If some one know answer please help whole season is in question becouse of this.I said that ferrari and mclarren are superior compared with super aguri and force india.

AFAIK it depends on which 'series' you use. The F1RFT 2008 and F1RFT 2008 LEAGUE both use the same physics (i.e. all cars equal). The F1RFT 2008 SEASON cars use different physics (i.e. Ferrari/Mclaren are faster than say Super Aguri/Toro Rosso).

n.b. It's been awhile since I've run the mod, the version I have was released near the end of March so there might have been some more recent physics updates for all I know.
