So I created a gpllum.bat file with the only test inside being "..\..\..\..gpllum.exe a" (where ..\..\..\ is the path to my gpl.exe) and asked the scheduler to run the bat file now it works well.
So now the system is fully automatic. At least the uploading part.
Have you automated the processing of the files on your side as well?
This is very good.
Thats exactly the way I did it.

Either it's slow updating or it's stopped functioning for me.
Anybody else notice this
Just checked it again and some scores are now being added

Hi guys,
Thomas and Rob I am glad the system works fine.
The whole system could be described as semi-automatic:
I have to download all the exports, import them into database, process and than upload the reports/site.
I made an program called GPLAdmin which takes care of it.
So, all I have to do is a few clicks.
Shears, the system works, and if you read the site, it will be refreshed once a day, somewhere after 21:00 CEST.
Today, I had lots of work, so the upload was a bit late.
Cheers,
Damir.

No offence meant,
I thought it was an automatic process like GPLRank......
My apologies

Shears,
no hard feelings here, really.
Just ask if something is not clear.
And if it were possible to make an automatic update, there would be an problem because the order in which the race exports are calculated does matter.
So, maybe someone who had an earlier race, sent it later.
Than the results could change.
So if the Ladder would be automaticaly updated, it would change quite often.
I think the 1 day refresh solution isn't so bad, what do you say ?
Cheers,
Damir.

Just a thought, on the ladder, is it possible to fix the headings at the top?, so when you scroll down you can still see them.
When you are as far down the ladder as I am, its difficult to see what the columns refer to.

Hi,
you have a good point Dave, and I have thought of that, but for now I don't know how to do it, because I am just learning HTML and it seems there is no easy way to do it.
Maybe you can import it in Excel and than arrange it as you like.
If someone knows how to do it, please let me know...
Cheers,
Damir.

Damir, this is the only way I know how to do it- by using floating layer containing table (one row) with headers. Since I know a diddly squat about HTML encoding, here's the file containing said layer and a corresponding empty table for reference... Hope it helps.

[Aside.] Though this be madness, yet there is method in't.

Just noticed one thing, Damir... Apparently, as is, scrolling layer is transparent, and You should change the table background colour to anything but withe (light gray will do) to rectify that problem (table then becomes 'untransparent')...

Hi Paul,
about the connection it seems that the server was (is) down ATM.
Do you always get "Conenction unsuccessful" ?
Just browse once to the gpl.exe file, so the progy knows where your GPL is installed.
After that in the list box you should get a list of all export files you saved inside GPL (if you saved any).
Now just click "Upload all" and that's it.
Cheers,
Damir.

There's only one ini file in there - GPLLaptimes.ini
All the other files in there are pbf files. ignore them?

Paul.. are you sure you have directed the upload program to the GPL.exe file? before you try to upload a export file?

Hi Paul,
I am not sure what directory you are talking about, but just browse to the gpl.exe and select it.
In the text box you should get the path (without the gpl.exe).
After that, the list box will be filled with the content of the \..\gpl\exports directory, which is the directory GPL uses for saving the export files.
If the list is empty, you haven't saved any exports.
To do that, after the race is finished, on the "OFFICIAL STANDINGS" page click the "export" button and save the file.
If you now open (or if it is opened, hit refresh) GPLLUM, the list box should show you the export you just saved.
Hit "Upload all".
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Damir.

Hi Dave,
you are absolutely right.
And here is the reason why the program thought that are two different races:
Aut?dromo de la Ciudad de M?xico
Autodromo de la Ciudad de Mexico
Notice the difference in the letter o ? ? e.
I will delete one, and figure out how to stop such things in the future.
Cheers,
Damir.

Today I finally found the time to race on VROC and did a 3rd place at Zandy.
After that I wanted to export the standings (which I hardly ever did before) for the Ladder.
When I hit the export button I got a message "file couldn't be created".
How do I export those files for the Ladder?
Cheers,
YG

I just checked my GPL folder.
Shouldn't there be sub-folder called "exports" in it? Cause I didn't find one. Maybe I've deleted it some time ago.
I'll create such a folder now and hope that I can create export files the next time ...
Cheers,
YG

Hi Roland,
nice to hear you finally VROCed
Yes, there should be an exports folder in GPL.
That is probably why you couldn't save it.
I am sure the next time it will be OK, but to be sure just try to save a race with AI.
Cheers,
Damir.

Just a quick followup to tell the world that both the Dutch.XS4ALL GPL and the Dutch.XS4ALL.GPL 2 server automatically upload all their exports once a day. If you race there, there's no need to manually upload your exported results.
Both servers run the bandwidth patch by the way, but for the second server you should set it manually in WinVROC since both servers run on the same machine and there seems to be no way at all to launch both from WinVROC. Happy racing!

What does the "last upd." column in the ladder stand for? It's probably obvious, but I'm too thick to figure it out
edit: website is updated, now i understand
