OT: have you tried this?

Hi all...

it was posted on west-racing forums...

Great little game with great physics. I have been playing this for an hour, and I cannot get enough of it

Yet people still ask how 'just two people' can make Racing Legends?

Take a look at 'ashman's' impressive little sim or this one above.

Call me but this has got to be one of the best simulators I've ever driven. It even has caster in the setup options. Not that it's important but the trees blow in the wind too...

Hmm, can't get the gas and brake pedals to work with this game.

I haven't tried it yet, but on their site it says you have to run single axis pedals.

This sucks, my pedals are hardwired to dual axis...who in the hell drives with single axis nowadays...now I have to use my joystick. Hopefully the end product will support dual axis, otherwise it's a no-go.

I can't use it because my TSW has the gas and brake "backward" which means my pedals are reversed. Seems like a nice game but for the moment at least, it's not usable for me except to drive around slowly.

Yes, and it feels really good. There are loads of options to make us happy too! You can change so many things in game that people have wanted in GPL, like field of view, the amount your head moves because of g-forces, and that sort of thing.

This is fun

I've just tried it and it's great fun. A very nice game. Awesome for a 2-men-team. Many options with setups etc. and a good menu system.

Although it's only single axis (just one switch in my control panel to change that), the physics are very good. Nice graphics, too.

I like it and it runs on my old system on 800x600, only adding AI cars slows fps. But hotlapping is great.

There should be more "independent" games available like this.
Ruud's Racer and Sirocco unfortunately don't run well on my PC.

Cheers,
YG

It is awesome. Allready had some great races online.

The only problem i have is crappy FPS. I have a R8500 on XP. I can lower graphic seetings to minimum but it still sucks. Maybe it isnt "optimised" for radeons.

Nice, I just had another go on it, got the first of the RWD cars (very fun ) and went online. No lag or anything, and great fun. I joined 'Track Day' or something like that, where people are all just having fun and lapping the circuit, no racing. This is perfect

ok this thing ROCKS
just had a hilarious online session. 8 players, no warps, super-smooth netcode, excellent collision detection, lots of contact, tyre barriers that bounce around and scatter on the track... Fun, fun, fun. It would be the perfect sim if there was damage and split axis support.
Everyone should try this, most natural feeling i've seen in a race sim IMO.
