A new feature has been added to GeneRally version 1.04, the F11 preview screenshot key. Unlike the regular F12 screenshot key within the game (which takes screenshots at the full GeneRally game resolution), this new feature will create small thumbnail-sized preview screenshots. This makes creating track preview screenshots within the game even easier than in previous versions.
To create a track preview screenshot of your new track creation, simply press F11 within the game to take a screenshot. Then directly convert the resulting Shot0000.bmp (found in your "GeneRally\Screens" folder) to a GIF format image using your image editing program of choice, and upload it with your track. No resizing required. The resulting 320x240 images when directly converted to GIF format are real small in filesize.
The size of the image can be adjusted by editing the "ScreenshotWidth" and "ScreenshotHeight" entries contained in your GR.ini advanced game options file using any text editor (such as Windows Notepad), but for our purposes of creating small thumbnail-sized track preview screenshots, leave these settings at their defaults of 320x240.
Note that the "ScreenshotFormat = BMP" entry (also contained in your GR.ini advanced game options file) currently has no effect. The current version of the game only supports BMP format images for the F11 preview screenshot feature (so you will still need to convert the screenshots to GIF format images using your image editing program of choice).
Simple, quick, easy, and foolproof -
P.S. More info about resizing and converting images can be found here.
P.P.S. There are quite a few utilities that will convert BMP format images to GIF format, many of them being freeware. To change your GeneRally resolution, simply click on "Options" and then "Advanced" within the game. Then use the minus buttons beside the "Resolution" slider to lower your GeneRally game resolution.

Or you could download Irfanview which I use to resize my screenshots. It's simple, user friendly and it works

Another touch (F9 or F10) could be used for a middle resolution.
Will Hannu set that touch in Generally 1.05?
(sorry my english)

you can set the output resolution of the F11 screenshot in the gr.ini file located in your GeneRally folder.

For superfantasticextravagant screenshots, use a simple screendump.
