Yes, I'd be very interested to know if there is "full package" deal, where you can purchase a 1 year subscription, plus all available content, on day one. If so, what would that cost at this point in time?

I'm calculating $159 for the subscript., then 0.80 x (cost of all content added up) = about $431.

The right math is:

159 USD for the year subscription

+

All added content - 20% discount

= 431 USD (I didn't add it up myself, so I'm trusting you Kryptonyte )

- 60 USD (iRacing dollars)

=

371 USD

I just added up the amount of $$ it cost me to buy everything that iRacing offers. I did a 1 year sub and bought all cars and tracks. Total was $417, tax included. This was all bought using the beta credit card though. I will be smarter as to what I buy when we move to our real credit cards

For me, I hav to take into consideration that I will probably only race the ovals as well. So that will save me a significant amount as well buying only the oval cars and tracks.

Just me, and one more perspective on this.

I just wish I could sign up and pay for it all right now, I would.

Ah. I suppose that if you wanted all the content, it might be wise to purchase the 1 year subscript, then come back for a second hit on all the other content.

Dustin, what's the interest rate on the beta Credit Card?

Im getting it all. This is my hobby. Its all I do. (Well, this and watch NFL football, also play stinky Madden from time to time) Thank God I have the funds to sponsor myself. I can see where it might be a problem for some. I think the total cost is worth it. Just my 2 cents.

Great point. Imagine other hobbies out there. I once was big into RC aircraft, $450 to get started is really a pretty good deal to get you everything you need. Then in a year the engine dies another $150, maybe an unfortunate accident takes out your plane, another $200 on the cheap side of the spectrum.

Take the cost of real racing, for the legends when I raced them it was about $500 a month on tires alone, before any accidents.

I know the USAC guys at my local track spend $800 per event on tires.

I have read that real race teams are using this software for real life training. If it is good enought for them, well I consider this to be a cheap hobby.

Hell, I spend more on Crown and Coke a year than I will with this stuff!!

Do you earn more iRacing dollars in races? Can you theoretically win lots of races and earn lots of dollars and use them to buy more content?

If you wanted all the road course content it only costs £50 ontop of the full subscription which isnt too bad really I guess.

Daytona Int'l Speedway - $25
Homestead Miami Speedway - $20
Atlanta Motor Speedway - $20
Infineon Raceway - $25
Road America - $25
Silverstone Circuit - $25
Virginia International Raceway - $20
Formula Mazda - $15
Radical SR8 - $15
Skip Barber Formula RT2000 - $15
= $205

- $41
- $60

= $104 + $159

= $263 = £131

something was said along the lines that winnings would give you a discount. But you wouldnt be able to pay for it all just by winnings.

How fast is the transaction when you buy a track? Do you get to download it instantly or do you have to wait, if so how long?

Instantly. Its extremely simple. You just select what you want to buy. After the transaction is completed you'll click an Update button and the iRacing updater will launch. It will download and automatically install your new content.

Can download immediately after purchasing. Download speeds have been very quick, about as fast as my 3mbit connection will go
