yes, the movie is of a higher quality
compression still is kinda rough sometimes, but i wanted to keep the file size as low as possible without the images becoming ugly the movie is fullscreen 384x288, whereeas the trailer was 384x288 but with a black frame around it...
for the best entertainment watch the movie in fullscreen from a little distance (lean back, take yourself 30 minutes "off", relax and enjoy it! ) and turn up da volume ppl with subs rejoice, the zone features quite some low frequencies *g*
if you're the lucky owner of a matrox parhelia ( ) or any other card that can output oversampled TV-out (not cutting anything off at the border of the screen) watch it on a TV with a good stereo hooked up for them good vibrations i was really amazed about HOW MUCH BETTER it looks on a TV (i know that things do, and i know why, i just wasnt expecting it to receive such an image quality boost)

to all others: don't hesitate to comment on the movie, feedback is very welcome and appreciated

How'd you do that camera pull back from the pits to the rest of the start/finish line part of the track? I liked that.

i noticed that too... i guess its partly my fault (by overdoing the equalizer settings ) and partly a codec issue... i use GSM6.10 for sound compression, as MP3 tends to get out of sync too easily, even with video/audio keyframes every frame (increasing file size)...

you get this when no cars are on the track at all... you might've noticed the "NO VIEW CAR" message - when it appears, press V to switch view, it'll take you to the pit exit, with a high FOV camera overlooking start/finish and the pits... the pull back was done in premiere with a zoom.. unfortunately the MPR was skippy, thus the cars coming from the pits look like anything but cars

it's a remix of two songs actually, done by some guy i used to hang around with on IRC..

ultrasonic sound (come to daddy buddy B remix)
the beginning (when that "mp3 play" appears) is from
aphex twin - come to daddy (pappy mix) one hell of a song
(completely darken your room, turn up the volume, play the song (pappy mix only) and put a 10fps (flashes per second ) strobe somewhere on the floor facing upwards with a red filter...mwahaha )
the main bassline is from
dieselboy - ultrasonic sound theres also a more rock-related version of this by HIVE (matrix soundtrack maybe)

i hope i remembered those names right, gonna look em up when i get home, and edit this post if necessary
