[kar] [real-life] Michael Schumacher Kartcenter X Indoor
The Michael Schumacher Kartcenter circuit
This track features the MS Kartcenter Indoor track in Kerpen, Germany. You will also find the brandnew red Michael Schumacher Kart included for best fun racing. Look at cars forum to get more information about it (MS Kart X) Though I like it, I guess one thing of the track may use more improvement and that is the AI line. Please help me to make it even better. I strongly suggest to turn off damage for this race because of the many concrete walls and it is realistic at a karts race. EDIT: Updated AI line and pitlane EDIT: The file download seems to have been messed up in the RSC database. I reposted the file - and lost my count again Last edited by Genetleman : 13-01-2004 at 16:30. |

Thanks Matty! Details were in fact really hard, but placing those walls is the hardest part
I just made a ten lap race and just managed to overtake the leader in the 10th lap - puhuu My best lap is a 37.9 with the MS Kart X. Beat this!!! |

I've mixed up my car files - sorry. I have included Strava's Kart instead of mine. So sorry, here is my MS Kart X reposted above. And now is the time for highscoring!!! @eku: It's really easy with the building. Just put a huge elevation to your hmap and paint on it (mind perspective). @matty: The frustrating thing about the walls is, that when they look good in the editor, it must not mean that they look good in the game as well. Always switching between GR and editor is quite unnerving. We should have an WYSIWYG editor! So Hannu would you please... Last edited by Genetleman : 09-01-2004 at 09:31. |

Great indoor karting track. While I've never been to this one, we have one that is very similar in Anaheim, and I must say its pretty darn fun!
I did decide to back off the zoom though as it was obstructing the corners in the extreme edges of the track, and there is one AI flaw through the tight esses on the left side of the screen where the karters simply clip the softwall rather than go around it. Was also tempted to raise the view angle a bit so I could see my kart on the backside of the course. |

Great track! love the high-speed corners! the objects are cool too! I prefer a POV of 50-60, but I can change it. Otherwise very very good!

nice track!
but one thing: i absolutely detest the naming of your tacks and cars ("... X"), don't know why, i just don't like it. :P another thing is that i don't like advertising your page on the track - isn't a link in the description of the track enough?

Thanks for your comments guys!
@ antifa & jwrpayne: I've been there of course. No german racing fan should miss it! @ gpr: Really, there is a similar one in anaheim? that's quite interesting, any relation to the MS Kartcenter or just coincidence? @ heinzlemaxe: I tried to choose a POV which represents the view from the stands in reality, and it is quite like this now. I hope the objects are not too misplaced when changing the POV manually @ kermit: Hmm, the X thing just came to my mind in the beginning because I found it hard to associate different tracks with different authors in the track database. Now it seems that it became quite a "recognizer" for my stuff. Please just don't put too much attention to the naming of my tracks I could also have used Hannus random track namer Sure I like it when people visit my page and I can see that my cars and tracks maybe bring some x-tra () fun to their gaming. Advertising just hints them to get even more of this stuff, so I don't see any problem with that as long as it does not ruin the fun of the tracks. And my site is banner-free!!! |

Hmm... the attached picture is also empty??? Must be some problem with the RSC database. I think the download in the car forum works (it's the same file). I'll repost the file here as well to test it. Tested it now, reposted it above. Hope you like it Nielske! Last edited by Genetleman : 13-01-2004 at 16:38. |

well, for me it does ruin the track's look. but anyway, that's just me.
for the attachments, the one in the cars forum was posted later. only files posted *before* the upgrade don't work. but they are being restored already, Nazareth Speedway works fine again for example.

Nice track, nice kart, so it'll stay on my computer
some walls could be a bit better, but i know how hard it is to make so many good looking walls.

Walls walls walls After 1 complete hour of wall editing I decided it was enough for a first release. But of course you are right, they need enhancement. E.g. in turn 1 when coming from the pits I always scrubble in the inner turn's wall and loose my highscore lap at the first 10m. |
