Brands hatch 1967 preview Movies available for download
Hi everyone. Lenny Trapps has made a preview movie for the imminent release of Brands Hatch 67 which is just about finished.
The movie comes in two versions, one with classical style music and anothe with a more rock style, otherwise its exactly the same graphically, so there's no need to download if you are among the bandwidth-challenged. Enjoy it while you wait for the track. Classical version Rock Version

Do you have any screenshots from this movie that you could post ? 75Mb is too large for someone who doesn't have broadband. It would take me 3.5 hours to download.

No substitute I know but there is an 11Mb clip of the real track in 64 here - just about modem friendly, and it has a real "classic" sound track - Coventry Climax 1.5 litre V8! (I admit I'm an engineer and therefore a philistine). Screenshots of the track in the main forum are probably as good as a movie screenshot. http://fp.gplegends.plus.com/Gallery.htm scroll to the bottom of the page Did they really have Athlons in 64? |

Good stuff Paul, Lenny & the rest of the team. Judging by the racing in the movie, it will be a good overtaking track as there are pleny of feasible lines. Love the overhanging trees, they look great

Wow really impressive, one of the bests GPL movie ever for sure, congrats! The track itself should be a blast to drive and looks very very nice.. Can't wait!

The final shot of Lenny Trapp is perhaps the nicest touch I've ever seen on a GPL movie, a feeling of happiness overcomes me every time I watch it.

Help! I pulled a bonehead move when i downloaded this movie. I did not pay attention to the target on my computer and it went to a shortcut! So after taking 3 days to d/l I've got this 75mb file sitting there and I can't open it! I tried renaming it but no use. It has a DOS name of 'BRANDS~1.LNK'
Can someone please tell me how to fix it or am I out of luck? thanks!

Hmm, if I understand this correctly you happened to rename it to brands~1.lnk by mistake? As an experiment I took a tmp file from my windows\temp folder and renamed it with a .lnk extension. Once Ive done that, I couldnt name it back from windows, but I had no problems doing it from the dos prompt! So try the dos renaming again! Something like this should really suffice: (as long as you're in the proper folder) ren BRANDS~1.LNK brands.zip
