[cir][rl] Motegi

What can I say? After a two-months struggle it came out pretty decent, but it's not THE stunner. It's definitely not as good as Assen...
At least, the AI is good, both in the "Bike" and the "Car" version.

Finally, all I can say is: This track looks so much easier to do than it is in fact...

However:

What a wonderful reproduction. It really catches the flair of this track. And you even could solve the problem with the oval and used flat bridges (I still remeber that you wanted to use hump bridges). I doubt it can be done better.

wow i think it's great! i prefer it over assen in fact! love the black curbs, also the view point is excellent. very good job, mopower.
maybe mebiko likes it.

p.s.: the track's description would have deserved at least a bit of info about the real track though.

Track description, hmm... In fact I would have some material about the track, because of the (German-language) motorcycling GP news portal I am writing for - gpwelt.com (can I say it? If not, feel free to remove the link and this text in brackets without further notice. I don't want to be a spammer!). But you know how it goes, you have fought hard to get the track completed, and then you just don't want to waste too much time on the readme. At least I do. So I take the readme from my last creation (all of course based on Rich's template), edit it, save, zip, bang.

You think it's better than Assen? Well, the track's layout is definitely easier to translate into GR, but the surroundings and the hmap kept me busy for quite a while. There are no useful aerial shots of that track, except one, taken from a heli, about 2 miles away from the track, with a width of about 250 pixels. All I could take from that was the rough shape of the gravel traps, not more. Assen was easier in that respect, as well as in the off-track-hmap respect. Assen -> Netherlands -> flat

In real life they are blue, that's the closest you can get.

i think assen looked a touch better, but this is still a stunning track, and i think it is much more fun to drive than assen. with assen you have to get everything perfect pretty much or you do a really bad lap, whereas at Motegi here its a bit of an easier ride

great work

Very much so.
I like it!
But my VW-Van slams into the bottom of the bridge.

yeah, i also noticed that. even J4ber's new DTM cars (don't ask ) slam the bridge. [EDIT: well, they don't really hit the bridge, but the polies show through]
but i just have to stress once more how much i like this track. the POV is so tasty! and those curbs... the run-off sand traps...

a-w-e-s-o-m-e w-o-r-k, MoPower.

Under the first bridge there *cough* really is an opportunity *cough cough* to hit a bridge post while staying on track. That's because the track doesn't intersect with the oval at a square angle. But if you are somewhere near the ideal line, there shouldn't be any problem.

I really wish those bridge posts weren't there in the first place. All they do is mess up tracks like this.

nonono, i didn't mean the posts of the bridge. i (and also mebiko did ) meant that the bridge is pretty low.
