Just cleared the helmet cam a bit for those who want the helmet cam but find it was obscuring very much the view. For the offline install, extract the file to your gamedata/teams. Dont know if it will work for the online install.

For online versions, I believe you just need to create a Teams folder inside the Gamedata folder, then place this in there. Haven't tried this myself (offline version here) but seen others use this method.

Dunno 'bout this but that other "No helmet"-file work fine with "Online-installed" RACE 07.

And you're right, there's no gamedata/team-folder, but that's why you make one(or maybe its with the file already).

Works fine with steam release. Just create the gamedata/teams folder and place the dds there.

I just tried this today and it has taken my F3000 experience to new heights. Dont know why I didnt like it. I was ok with it in the FBMW and the radical (though its better in the Rad now too) but the F3000 wasnt 'doing it' for me and now it is.

no-grip has more versions as well. One with many different colours. The clear helmet is to clear for me. Like driving in a helmet with the visor open

Where do you create the folder??

I tried putting it here:

SteamApps/*my name*/race07/gamedata/teams/driver_helmet_fpvisor.dds

It doesn't work. I have no helmet texture at all in the cockpit.

The same thing happens when I put it in:

C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\*my name*\race 07

Any idea why??

I like the idea of the Helmet but not the default helmet because has a small field of view.

So I think this one is best so far.

…But why this helmet doesn’t work in the rain?....... Is there any solution for this problem?
