Esben's Sub-8 at the Ring Diary
Idea of diary stolen from Michael T Denham.

Um Sharkey, if you look at Gazork.. eh Esben's Rank you'll notice he'd already done 8:12 (a better man than me, he is!

btw Michael and Esben, i think i'll join you in your quest. currently on an 8m06.79 and i've not driven at the Ring for a few weeks (which at the rate i normally progress is a long time, believe me

- 8:21.14 - RE2 (Nur_Fer_75564_RE2.fe1)I'm going to give it another go later today, I had a spinoff at Wipperman (see enclosed replay) and was generally slow throughout the rest of the lap. I'm also going to go back to the RE1 setup, I was generally faster with it anyway...

Got some spare time (Easter Holidays ) so, I am actually going to drive the 'Ring in the Brabham right now, need to improve that time and as it's my favourite car, I think I can improve and possibily get a new overall PB if I got back into the standard cars again. I'd like to think driving the 1965 cars has improved my driving in some respects but, we'll see.

Right, was expecting it to be harder to get back in the groove straight away, barely driven anything in the last month. Went straight out and almost set a PB at Crystal Palce beating my old Brabham time by half a second.
Getting bad sun glare at this time of day but, won't draw the curtains because it's a nice day out. Will try the 'Ring later - sorry to hi-jack your thread Esben. Thanks for mativating me to get back into driving GPL - just the short run at Crystal was great fun.
