[cir] [rwl] Melbourne v2.0

Key words: Albert Park Circuit, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, real-life F1 track

Here's my new updated real-life track: Melbourne.
I rebuilt the whole finishing straight, together with the first and last turns and the pits. I also remade the two 90-degree turns (Ascari & Stewart) on the right. Now the track is longer with 17 meters (732 meters at all). Furthermore I made the neighbouring areas more realistic. On the track the walls were moved back and the kerbs were changed to white & blue, so they're slidy (because of the ice) and they can make some turn more exciting, especially the chicanes.
The track stills narrow, as you can see, but I think it's good for races & hotlaps as well. I already have some interesting races on the track against my friend and the AI opponents. And now it's your turn! Let's start the season (with Flying solo's F12005 carset )!

Comments and criticisms are welcome!

Hmm.. I remember there was not 90 degree curves in Melbourne...
Really great track (doh), looks like the real one for what I understand. I would whine about narrowness, but since the real-life track is also narrow, I won't.
What I do not like is the kerbs, I'd prefer white/oil than white/ice. But that's something I'm gonna fix by my own.
Otherwise I really love the changes you've made and it feels good driving this with F12005s.
Thank you and 10/10

Solid work once again.

Glad to see you could improve the pits a bit from the last version. Now it's pretty much as close to real track as possible in GR. There's only one thing I dislike: the point of view. It's a bit too far away IMHO. I made some experiments with the pov to get it a bit closer and ended up improving my lap times quite a bit. The bad thing is that you can't see some of the beautiful scenery with that POV.

Absolutely a keeper with the new point of view.

EDIT: The values of the POV: View angle 63, Rotation -45, Zoom 55.

World record bump? Sadly, he won't (at least I highly doubt it) because he last visited: 20-09-2007 12:03. Sorry, you've missed the boat

That's strange... Gabor released Mdoweto in 01-2008 Probably it has something to do with the blackout.

Quite possibly, the blackout made a monkey out of everything...

Far off!! I guess you haven't been around long enough, but we have seen 5-year bumps in the past.

Very sad the blackout costed so much damage to the forum, especially for tracks of folks who left the forum.
