The idea is to create a GeneRally crash movie which would feature crash replays of any kind. Everyone from GeneRally community can participate by sending me the crash replay. The crashes should happen spontaneously not made on purpouse. Just play GR and when it happens (the crash or something like it) don`t stop playing, just drive to the end of the race and then save the replay.
I`ll give you an example (for those who don`t know what I`m talking about)how this should work. I start a race, the first 11 laps are very smooth, but then someone, driving out of the pits, hit me and pushes me towards a stone near the track. Of course I take off and start flying towards a big tree. I hit hard but manage to stay alive. I get back on the road with heavy damaged car, but I didn`t saw a car coming from behind. Another heavy hit, but again I manage to stay alive so I continue the race. In the end of the race I press esc and then replay button. I search for the moment of the crash, then I rewind for about 10 s and press the C key then I move forward for about 20 s and I press the C key again. After this a menu pops up and I save my replay. Now the replays is long about 20 s and the crash moment is about in the midle of the replay. This should give me an optimal replay for editing. Of course not always is possible to make a 20 s long replay, especially at the begining and at the ending of a race. I`ll accept this replays too.
The zip must contain the replay and the track on which you made the replay (optionaly you can add a txt file with the exact path for the track).
Don`t forget to specify the exact path for the track you use for the replay. Example: GeneRally\Tracks\Tarmac\LB Racing.trk
Also don`t forget to tell me your forum username as I`ll need it for the credits of the movie. Use this to send your replays.
This is a long term project so there is no hurry. Take your time and I will take mine too.
I`m opened to any suggestion about anything, especially about the music for the movie. The max lenght of the movie should be around 4-5 minutes.
P.S.This project is going to be made by and for the GR community, that`s why I inserted a poll. I`ll act accordingly to the results. If the majority will vote for I don`t care or No the project won`t become reality.

send the replay file. it is easier for you and what is more important: LongBow can choose the framerate, area and stuff of the video on his own.

This is exactly the point. Sending an animated gif would only tie my hands, as I can`t change the width, height, fps... of the gif.
As already K3rmiT mentioned is also easier for you to send me just a replay rather then an animated gif.

after restarting my emailprogram everything was ok, so i could send the file
yeah i wanted to make a video of it once, but when i was finished (was a bad video anyway) i wanted to save, but my comp crashed  and i didn't save it before

What load bug . I`m just guessing here, but maybe you just moved the tracks into another folder (or deleted them), that`s why the load fails. Try to send them anyway, maybe they will work in my GR (don`t forget to read the first post before you send them)

Load game bug, affects replay files too. I deleted those files when they were corrupted so I can't send them.

Actually (correct me if I'm wrong), but his dislike of threads like this were not because of the crashes, but rather the creation of the GeneRally movies themselves (?).
In any case, I like GR movies (especially since I "invented" them LOL), and damn sure ain't gonna close any thread dealing with them LOL -

I dislike that kind of topics cause I think this is something needless and like "off topic discussion" even it's part of GR, yep I have to yield it ;)
Anyway I wish you have fun. Now i'm going away from this thread.
